Last Day At Work
Oh well. It was good while it lasted! Today is my last day with RBS/ABN and although it is sad to go I am quite looking forward to having a break from the Ramsgate - London - Ramsgate journey. It will also give me time to see more of Beth and Parkes and to hang out with the Ramsgate homies (Kaiser Keith - if he'll still have me!). Maybe I'll catch pig flu too. After the media saturation of this pig flu story it had better amount to something. Else I think the media should publicly apologise and return to the days of sensible news reporting. "The Day Today" and "Brass Eye" summed it up perfectly.

Brief Thoughts
After penning my Climate Control Pants post earlier I have been thinking about how this climate control pant technology actually works. Is the climate controlled inside the pants (as I originally
thought) or does the fabric control the amount of heat emitted into the atmosphere? If the later is correct then what a great way to do your bit against global warming.

Climate Control Pants
A few months ago I bought some new underpants from M&S which were labelled "Climate Control Pants". My need for new underpants was driven by my aching furry friends and these M&S pants seemed to be supportive type I required. During the cold weather in February my new pants kept my nodules snug and warm. More recently, during the warm springtime weather, the climate control pant technology has allowed my little fellas to breath and not become too sweaty. All in all I am very impressed. Pictures of my new pants will be posted shortly.

Zaragoza
I was speaking to Roberto yesterday who lives in Zaragoza, Spain. When I asked him what he was up to he told me there was a two day public holiday in Zaragoza. I questioned him further and discovered that the two day holiday was in celebration of San Jorge. St George. Let me reiterate - TWO DAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY. Unbelievable, isn't it?! We don't get a sniff of a day off and he is our patron saint. Roberto did add that this was only a Zaragoza thing and not a nationally-celebrated holiday.

Happy St George's Day to every English man and woman (and anyone else who feels like celebrating). People often wonder what the dragon really looked like. Was it a mighty fearsome beast or maybe a docile, iguana-sized creature?! Well, I guess we'll never know. All I know is if you want stinky cheese and you live in Nova Scotia visit That Dutchman's Farm - he'll sort you out. Maybe if St George's dragon had breath like this a legend would never have been born.

Update
Lots going on at the moment. Beth bashing her head and having to visit hospital. Beth having antibiotics for another cough. My Dad having an operation on his back to sort out his very painful disc/nerve problems. Strings trying to find employment after the 1st May.
Granny B is due to join us for a week from tomorrow and it will be lovely to see her. The following week we will be visiting northern Spain for a well-earned break. At least the weather is on the turn - everyone loves the sunshine!

I tuned in at the weekend to see James Toseland's first race of the new 2009 MotoGP campaign and he finished the race in 16th position. Hmmmm. That was a bit disapointing.
I think these guys are absolutely crackers!! Anyone who clings onto an object going at speeds of 200mph deserves full respect and certifying.

Happy Passover
Well, Easter has finally arrived! I love this time of year as it usually means that winter is finally behind us and we can look forward to a summer of mild, wet weather. But let's not worry about that now! May your weekend be filled with chocolatey loveliness.
I don't think I will be going to the Thanet Easter Beer Festival this weekend. Instead I will console myself by spending time with my beautiful common-law wife and daughter, watching the US Masters and the Qatar MotoGP. Job done.
