Knocked Up

I arrived home last night looking forward to catching up with Beth and
Parkes when there was a knock at our front door. I answered it and
found my Conservative Parliamentary candidate standing there. She
smiled and held out a rather large leaflet. I politely told her I was
busy and shut the door. On reflection she looked a little like Kaddy
Lee Preston (if my memory serves me correctly) but imitating weather
presenters is not enough to make me vote Conservative.

Beer Festival / Wedding

We had a great time at the beer festival last Friday. It was probably
the best beer festival that Planet Thanet has seen (although I really
enjoyed the first one in the Monkey House) and the beer and music
married superbly. Parkes and I "danced" and generally got drunk. A big-
up should go to everyone who made the festival possible - you guys are
top!

The wedding is four weekends away and gradually everything is coming
together. I still need to get my suit, shirt and shoes sorted. The
music has been chosen and the DJ knows what he is supposed to play and
what he is definitely not supposed to play (Jive Bunny, Shania Twain,
Mariah Carey etc). My ring is still being forged in the fires of the
Crack of Doom but should be ready shortly.

Thanet Beer Festival 2010

Whooooooopeeeeee. Not only is it Easter but it is also time for that fantastic annual event, the Thanet Beer Festival. Parkes will be working there during the day and I will be joining her there in the evening for beers and laughs (hopefully). Pics will be taken and published.
