Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Justina,
and also Kirsty C;
although a year has been and gone,
you still look twenty three.

Enjoy your cards and presents,
and a tasty tipple too;
for every birthday girl deserves,
a special real ale brew.

Cider night at Churchills in Ramsgate. Well organised and the ciders were, well, strong! I soon slipped into my alter ego, Randy Apples, don't remember much else about the evening.

The loo in my new office. Although it is a little dirty I find the loo sit fits my bum cheeks perfectly to aid that "comfortable sit down". Good supply of loo rolls too.

My new office desk. I have finally got a seat by the window which makes a change. If you look very carefully you will see a little green monster trying to eat my apple.

The view that greets me as I step out of the front door of my office. Nice cucumber. It is close to where I was working 18 years ago for HSBC - feels nice to be back.

Center Parcs: Beth enjoying the Center Parcs cycling experience.

Center Parcs: What a whopper!!

Center Parcs: Man and owl feeling the love. We both have hairy feet and a love of
furry ears.

Center Parcs: Parkes trying to talk to a Peregrine. The falcon was having none of it
and had his mind on other things - predominantly chicken feet.

Center Parcs: Parkes having a Cake-free moment and enjoying a breakfast in Starbucks.

Dad, Liz, Parkes, Beth and I have safely settled into our grubby villa
at Center Parcs. There were mouse poos on the cot and high chair which
were stored in the storage room. How lovely!

All Change

The weekend gone was a quiet affair. Beth had a very high temperature towards the end of last week and the weekend was spent trying to assist her recovery. She's had some virus which really has knocked her for six but the temperature now seems to be stable and she is hopefully getting back to her old self.

Last week was fairly busy and this contributed to my lack of waffle on the Blog. I agreed to sell my house in Essex and I also sold my motorbike so I have been busy completing forms etc. However I did manage to pop into the Monty on Saturday evening for an hour and sampled Gadd's Old Pig which was absolutely delicious.

It's a pretty scary time to work for an investment bank in the City. RBS's shares dropped 20% of their value today and I have been siting at my RBS/ABN Amro/EDS desk with not much to do. Time to be worried?!

Flying And Poo

Parkes went flying on Saturday morning from Manston airport under clear blue skies. She had a great time and Beth and I witnessed it from the Thanet Flying Club office area. Pictures will be posted as soon as I get our laptop at home working again.

On Sunday a herring gull pooed on me as I walked along the Westcliff. It is meant to be good luck but earlier that morning my motorbike decided it wouldn't run properly and later that day my home laptop stopped working. Not good.

I spent a very nice evening in the company of Deano on Thursday night. I used to live with Parkes and Deano in Greenwich and it was nice to have a couple of beers back in my old stomping ground. The evening culminated with a lovely Nepalese curry and a pint of Kingfisher. Beautiful!!

Britney's Back!

That's nice.
Iggle Piggle doing a little dance. Or maybe he is hailing the Ninky Nonk. My Ninky Nonk has been playing up recently - I really must stop scratching it.
