Smile
Got my first genuine smile from little Emily at 2:30am this morning. Makes being up at that hour worthwhile. She has got a cold, as has her mother and Beth has a cough. I have escaped for now...

Emily Update
The whole family is pretty tired right now. Emily is doing really well and sleeping at night, but the broken sleep is taking its toll and early nights are definitely the way forward. She is shifting more to formula milk now and this is helping her bowels. Parkes is still sleeping in Emily's room for now and, next weekend, I should be build Emily's cot. Beth is taking all of the changes in her stride, like the true pro she is.
Tomorrow, the Richborough towers will be demolished. Not sure quite how I feel about this. I think they are part of that particular stretch of coastline, however, ask me in a week's time and I will have probably changed my mind (I can be like that, y'know).
Also, tomorrow, I will be joining Thanet Bowls Club. They seem a jolly friendly bunch and hopefully I will be able to devote enough time to make it worthwhile.

Monday, February 20, 2012
Today is Emily's due date. She and her mother are making good progress. We are getting sleep (at the moment!), Parkes is slowly getting the hang of the feeding, and is beginning to become more mobile. Emily is doing what she does best: feeding and sleeping. Beth is back at school and I am off work and able to help with the school-run.

Birth News
Parkes took a call from QEQM hospital today and was told that the baby will be delivered, by c-section, on 15th February. Assuming that nature doesn't give baby a nudge before that date, it will mean that all of the Stringer grandchildren will have been born on parents birthdays. Beth was born on Parkes', Nat born on Rosie's and new baby born on mine!! I was feeling a little left out until now!
