Brew Day Part 5

Into the fermenter and bubbling away...

Brew Day Part 4

Wort boiling (a little too much maybe).

Brew Day Part 3

First wort hops added as the wort comes to the boil.

Brew Day Part 2

After leaving the mash for 90 minutes time to start the run-off.

Brew Day Part 1

It was the first brew day last Saturday with my homebrew set up. The first thing to do is to make sure you have a good assistant brewer.

Von Dingle's Brewery

I have finally assembled my home brew kit and will be brewing for the first time on Saturday 12th. It's jolly exciting and could all go horribly wrong but I have been planning for quite a while now and think I have covered all of the bases. The recipe is called South Cliff Ale as we live adjacent to South Cliff Parade (wasn't aware there was a south cliff but I guess there must be!). Fingers-crossed it'll go okay and the rest of the family won't find it too smelly and messy. Pictures will be posted here.

Onesie!

Beth's first onesie. Very snazzy.

New Year

We had a very nice new year. Everyone in the house is well presently, however Granny B is under the weather but improving. Emily is now crawling on her hands and knees and standing up when supporting objects are available. Beth has recovered from the long school term and went for a long scoot today.

10 months old

Emily now waves hello or goodbye, she's not fussed. She can sit up from laying down and generally crawls into places where she shouldn't be.

At last!!!!'

Finally Beth's wobbly tooth fell out, we had to hunt for it down a muddy path on the way home from school- nice. I think the going rate for a first tooth is £2

Festive fun

Beth went to see Santa Claus on Tuesday, lovely bloke.

Festive season

The time has come to get all festive again. This polar bear was seen wondering round the Wyevale garden centre, so Beth captured it for a piccie.
