Almost 8 months old..

Party

Beth had a party with her animals on Monday after school. Looks like they had a great time!

It has been a week of firsts in the Stringer house. Emily has got her first couple of teeth coming through and has also managed to contract her first cold, which she has kindly passed on to her sister. Parkes is still weaning Emily off the bottle - this is proving challenging but nothing that Parkes can't handle.

The 2012 Thanet Yomp was great and the weather was fantastic. Steve, Keith, Eddie and I were a little sore after the event but it was definitely worth it (especially when you get to pelt Keith in the stocks).

7 months old.

How time flies. Emily now rolls across the room, not long before she starts crawling. Beth has started year 1, finding it hard, but she's already won the class medal for good behaviour, perhaps we should have a medal system at home too?

Where did that cheese go?

Food

Broccoli, cauliflower, cheese and toast seem to be a favourite at the moment. Next on the list is tomatoes, chicken and rice. Wish someone would cook for me too..

Chunk

Emily is now getting across the room by rolling from her back, then onto her front until she gets to where she wants to. She is into everything and quite loud when she shouts at her toys, ouch.

Almost back to school

Penultimate day of holidays was spent at Wingham wildlife park. The girls had a great day as well as Grandma and Grandad.

Tuesday after August bank holiday saw us walking from Tideswell to Buxton in sunny (not very often) Derbyshire. On the way we came across this skull of a sheep, it was a bit chilling, but obviously left there to let the other sheep know what might happen if they try and leg it from the field.

Princess

Beth has an obsession for everything princess, lord knows where from! I took her to see once upon a dream, which involved amongst other things, girls dressed up as Disney princesses. I found it quite painful but Beth said it was brilliant.

6 months old today: Miss Emily Stringer.

Was nice to meet Eric Bristow and Keith Deller at GBBF today. Managed to get a picture of Clive with them, which made Clive very happy.
