Happiness

The girls relax on a Friday afternoon with a pizza (for Beth) and Toy story 2. Emily's cold is making her quite aggy but she still smiles a lot. Her big tooth at the top is coming through, Beth's little tooth is wobbly. One in one out.

Emily is 9 months old today, wow wee. She still loves her bath, even when teething. Everyone is slowly recovering from the house of Ill too.. Phew

House of ill

Well, this week has been quite dire and it's only Wednesday. Monday Parkes was ill and then Tuesday Beth, then Weds Strings. Emily is showing signs of the virus weds night, so that's Thurs sorted! Tummy bug extraordinaire ....

No Fireworks

The fireworks I bought needed a garden with at least 25m on space (for safety) so I took them back to the shop. Instead, Beth has two new fish named Eric and Ariel (!).

Bonfire Night

Considering buy some fireworks for a domestic display. Never had back garden fireworks before and I don't think we'll be able to get to a organised display. Assuming I am not burnt alive there will be pictures posted on the blog.

Going to try to keep the blog up to date but work and studying and family life has made it a bit of a low priority. However the kids might like to look back on it one day so better keep on blagging.

Party

Beth had a party with her animals on Monday after school. Looks like they had a great time!

It has been a week of firsts in the Stringer house. Emily has got her first couple of teeth coming through and has also managed to contract her first cold, which she has kindly passed on to her sister. Parkes is still weaning Emily off the bottle - this is proving challenging but nothing that Parkes can't handle.

The 2012 Thanet Yomp was great and the weather was fantastic. Steve, Keith, Eddie and I were a little sore after the event but it was definitely worth it (especially when you get to pelt Keith in the stocks).

7 months old.

How time flies. Emily now rolls across the room, not long before she starts crawling. Beth has started year 1, finding it hard, but she's already won the class medal for good behaviour, perhaps we should have a medal system at home too?

Where did that cheese go?

Food

Broccoli, cauliflower, cheese and toast seem to be a favourite at the moment. Next on the list is tomatoes, chicken and rice. Wish someone would cook for me too..
