New Horizons

I start a new job on Saturday. I am looking forward to it as it is like my previous role at Barclays which mean gallivanting around the country visiting local branches. It also means I get quite a bit of time off and I will use this to decorate our house and finish decorating my house in Essex. I may also use it to write a few new tunes, play some golf, cook dinners for Parkes and lose my muffin top through aerobic exercise.

Parkes and I went for a bicycle ride on the Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend. It was a nice day and the harbour looked very pretty. Posted by Picasa

V Festival 2006

Well I didn't take wellington boots and didn't need them. Sandals were the order of the day as the ground soaked up most of the infrequent rain-showers. We had a great time; lots of chuckles and good music. Personal highlights were The Young Knives, Art Brut, Radiohead, Faithless and Mozza, bacon baps with a slice of processed cheese, washing in the rain, Justine's highland jig, late night word-association shouting matches involving most of the campsite, Eric the Monster, Keith's kebabs, Jenny Faulkner, early morning toilet trips, fork handles and finally Squeaky - lead singer with Faithless.

V Wet Festival

This weekend Parkes and I will be camping at the V Festival in Chelmsford. Over previous years the weather has been fairly kind to us and I can only really remember one swampy weekend. However the forecast is not good and I am contemplating buying wellington boots: my first pair of wellies since I was aged about 12ish. Dark times.

Pirates Of The Carribean Island Called Thanet

We enjoyed a lovely Saturday afternoon and evening at Keith and Georgia's birthday party. The party was due to be held in the back-garden but the heavy rain and howling winds forced it to be moved indoors. We ate lots of chilli and chicken caserole and drank a few cold beers. No-one walked the plank.

Pirate Party

This coming weekend Parkes and I will be attending a pirate party hosted by Keith and Nicole Silk. Fancy dress is required and I will take my camera to capture anything unusual.

Parkes and I will also be visiting the house in Essex to have the rooms measured for the carpet fitting. How exciting!

Chicken Kung Po

Last weekend Dean, Parkes, Carmel and I decorated and pruned my house in Essex. Dean began the decorating on Friday afternoon when he finished work and by Sunday afternoon we'd all had enough and went home. All of the walls in the house have now been painted and the shrubs in outside the front of the house have been exterminated. There is still quite alot to do but much was achieved last weekend and thanks to everyone especially Dean. By never eat Chicken Kung Po - you'll never be quite same after eating it.
Wasteland and a bendy tree. We were cut and scratched but we eventually cleared the overgrown bushes. Posted by Picasa
