Ayamonte: Our daughter having a decent splash in the kiddies pool. The water temperature was cool but her dad's pool outfit was hot!

Talking of which, there has been a lot of positive feedback following my recent mankini picture. So much so, I will be doing a swimsuit special on the Blog in the coming week(s). Watch this space. Posted by Picasa

Sevilla: Mum, Beth and Parkes dodge the showers. We visited the alcazar and the cathedral - the former was very impressive and the later not so impressive. Beth seemed to have a good time. Prior to the drive back home I ate an impressive wedge of chocolate cake to combat sleepiness. It worked - I was floating like a butterfly and singing like a bee.Posted by Picasa

Bendy Bus

Bendy Bus, oh Bendy Bus,
once you were one of us
and everyone marvelled at your bendiness,
turning corners without a fuss,
powering down dirty streets with atomic thrust.

Then some people met to discuss,
the merits of your usefulness.
Now you are consigned to rust,
and heaven will collect the dust
of London's Bendy, Bendy Bus

Granny B And Her Amazing Paddling Bears

Bekie, Beth and I have just returned from a lovely 10 days in Spain (again) with my mother. The weather was moody at times but it didn't spoil the holiday and it was lovely to spend lots of time with Beth. Mum enjoyed herself despite a fifteen hour journey home to Manchester airport.

Whilst we were away my sister Rosie gave birth to Nathaniel weighing 7lbs 3oz. He, like Beth, decided to appear on his mother's birthday. Mother, father and Nathaniel are all doing well. Pictures will follow.

We have recently been taking Beth to the playground area in a local park. The swings are a particular favourite. Once I am on them you can't get me off.

Milky Dogs

I am feeling rather fatigued today after Bal's drinks last night in the City of London. It was an enjoyable evening and good to socialise with the gang and Deano.

Today, through blood-shot eyes, I was surfing the internet when I came across an article stating that some dudes in the US are making cheese using dog's milk. I don't think this cheese will taste very good and I also think that milking a dog could be technically difficult.

After decades of filling my plate to the max with food I have reluctantly decided to stop over-eating. I have been bloated for too long and need to give my insides a break. The trouble is that I love my food too much and have always been a gannet. Time will tell whether I stick to my 'small portions' regime but I am definitely gonna give it a go. Left is a picture of a sausage in a bun. Nice.

No Jacket Required

Parkes, Beth and I enjoyed a lovely weekend in sunny Rammers. The sun was bright and strong enough to burn skin but the breeze was cool and salty - fresh from the sea. Usually in spring we get a warm spell which lasts for 5 or so days and this must be it! Make the most of it before the gloom returns.

We are now counting down until our holiday begins in Ayamonte, Spain. Only another 7 days to go. Can't wait!!

Kaiser King Keith bought me a mankini for my birthday and I tried it on today. It's fits really well but I think it would rub a little if I decided to wear it for the Yomp. Check out those lovely pins. Stetson is optional.
