Weekend Accumulator

I have never been a fan of the National Lottery. I know a friend of a friend who got 5 numbers correct in the main draw and received a thousand pounds (or maybe two thousand - can't remember exactly). I don't think that represents a decent reward for coming that close to the jackpot. Instead, I like to think I got a better chance trying to predict the scores at the weekend. I have put down £2.50 and could win near £500 if all of these slap-happy predictions come in.

Scotland vs Argentina / Scotland @ 4/9
Man. City v Hull / Draw @ 4/1
Portsmouth v Man. Utd / Man. Utd @ 1/3
Wigan v Sunderland / Wigan @ 7/5
Wales vs Australia / Wales @ 10/11
Arsenal v Chelsea / Chelsea @ 6/4
Barcelona v Real Madrid / Barcelona @ 4/5

  1. When I've done accumulaters in the past I've usually tried to get odds to win thousands from a £1 bet. Not the best way to do it.

You've wetted my appetite though so may have a little flutter myself.

  2. No but it's exciting doing it that way. You are still much more likely to win than on the Nat Lot. Let me know what plan you hatch.

  3. Here's my bets.

    Fulham vs Bolton /Fulham @5/6

Aberdeen vs Rangers / Rangers @4/5

Aston Villa vs Tottenham / Tottenham @15/8

Barcelona vs Real Madrid / Barcelona @4/5

Everton vs Liverpool / Liverpool @6/5

Portsmouth vs Man Utd /Man Utd @4/11

Celtic vs St Mirren / Celtic @1/4

Manchester City vs Hull / Man City @3/10

I've bet £2 and could win £92.50. Nothing too controversial in there but waiting for at least one of them to slip up.

  4. Adem, we both were a bit short but not by much. Bloomin' rugby found me out.
